England-Specific Senshi Information
So
here's the skinny on each group:
There
is currently only one descendent of Merlin remaining alive, and
that is Tobias. By unwritten law, each descendent has only one
child to continue the line (two, if one dies) and lives on the
land and teaches their progeny the ways of magic. Thus the
descendents of Merlin will always be the same: wild hermits who
leave their domain only to procreate. Since I, the GM, play
Tobias, you don't have to worry about this. Simply understand
that if you play a Knight, your character will be awakened by
Tobias, not by a guardian. There may also be the possibility of a
second guardian-style figure for the team. This will be dealt with
later.
The
descendents of the Sisters, known as the Avalon Senshi, are spread
over the land, in cities and in towns, in farms in the
countryside, and in Avalon, where a small gathering of their order
persists. Anyone with the blood of one of the Sisters could
possibly have senshi power. Some of these will be people from
Avalon, descendents who have never left, and others may come from
cities and towns and be modern people. These people don't have a
special, ancient senshi name of any sort, they merely possess the
ability to transform and wield magic. They are Tier Three senshi,
with weak magical abilities but natural talents. They may or may
not know of their abilities. Chances are they have noticed that
they are different from other people. They have no appointed
guardians, but the
Avalonians possess various charms which can identify other Avalon
descendents. Your character options are as follows:
- a
character from Avalon, trained in the use of his or her
powers, who may or may not possess a charm which can find
other Avalon Senshi and probably knows from whom they are
descended
- a
character from outside Avalon who retains ties to Avalon and
has mastered his or her powers and probably knows from whom
they are descended
- a
character from outside Avalon who has discovered a few powers,
but will probably require some help in mastering them
- a
character from outside Avalon who has no idea they're
descended from Avalon and very little inkling about their
powers
- The
nine lineages are:
Morgan, Moronoe, Mazoe, Gliten, Glitonea, Cliton, Tyronoe,
Thitis, Morgause
- Please
remember that your senshi are related to one another, however
distantly, and try to leave some leeway for future applicants.
The
Knights, who perished long ago, have been resurrected in average
humans and must now be awakened. They have no guardians or
transformation items: only Merlin's descendent can identify them
and inform them of their senshi powers and transformation phrase.
The Knights can then transform to wield magic and they use the
names of their previous senshi lives. In other words, they're your
standard senshi, minus the guardians.
The
Celtae are also your standard senshi. They have guardians and died
in the past so are now being resurrected. With one catch. The
Celtae are divided like the Angelus, waging a war with one another
over which pantheon is the correct pantheon. On one side are the
Britannic and Welsh, and on the other the Tuatha De Danann and the
Gaul.
The
Angelus are also present, with the notable absence of the Grigori.
(The Grigori may appear at some point; it's presently undecided.)
The
relationship between the groups is thus: the Knights are enemies
of the Celtae (religious objection) and the Avalonians (ancient
feud). The Britannic and Welsh Celtae are enemies of the Tuatha De
Danann and the Gaul Celtae and vice versa (ancient feud, think
Graikos/Romanus or Angelus/Grigori interaction). The Avalonians,
while not spoken enemies of the divided Celtae Senshi, care only
about the destruction of the Knights and refuse to take a side in
the Celtae conflict. They they aren't purposefully hurting the
Celtae, but they aren't helping. Finally, the Angelus are allied
with the Knights and enemies with the Celtae and Avalonians.
One
character stands out as different. The player who plays Arthur
will have a choice to join either the Celtae, the Sisters, or the
Knights. All sides will be actively recruiting him. If you're
interested in playing Arthur, please speak
to us first.
